CLIENT’S NEED: Umpqua Bank was interested in developing a company-wide sustainability program, including strategies, roadmaps, priorities, and short- and long-term goals.

As a result of our work, Umpqua Bank was able to clearly communicate its sustainability goals and accomplishments to employees, vendors and the community.

Shift Advantage facilitated sessions with Umpqua Bank’s various divisions, departments, and bank branch regions to understand priorities, challenges, opportunities, and customer expectations.
We developed key performance indicators (KPIs), frameworks for tracking and analyzing progress over time, and specific targets for the divisions, departments, and bank branch regions.
APPROACH: Shift Advantage facilitated sessions with leaders and key employees from Umpqua Bank’s various divisions, departments, and bank branch regions to understand priorities, challenges, opportunities, and customer expectations. We complemented this work with industry research and trend analysis.

RESULTS: We collaborated with Umpqua Bank to co-create strategic priorities and achievable goals. We developed key performance indicators (KPIs), frameworks for tracking and analyzing progress over time, and specific targets for the divisions, departments, and bank branch regions. We provided customized sustainability guidelines and action plans to help each area in the business meet their goals.

This work enabled Umpqua Bank to understand their overall sustainability performance and opportunities for improvement. We provided relevant information to the people in their organization who could use it best to make appropriate decisions. As a result of this work Umpqua Bank was able to clearly communicate its sustainability goals and accomplishments to employees, vendors and the community.
